Presbyterian SeniorCare Foundation Celebrates Generous Donors at Annual Luncheon
Presbyterian SeniorCare Foundation recently gathered to honor two of its most distinguished groups of supporters – members of the Cornerstone Society and the Anderson Legacy Society – at the organization’s annual recognition luncheon, held April 30th at the historic Oakmont Country Club.
The annual event is a tradition, offering the Foundation an opportunity to express its deep gratitude to the donors whose generosity sustains its mission of serving older adults and vulnerable populations across western Pennsylvania.
Honoring Two Pillars of Philanthropy
The Cornerstone Society recognizes donors who have made a leadership gift of $1,000 or more during the calendar year in support of either of the Foundation’s two areas of greatest need: charitable care or general unrestricted support. These contributions provide critical funding that allows Presbyterian SeniorCare Network to respond to needs as they arise and ensure that no resident is turned away due to an inability to pay.
The Anderson Legacy Society honors a different but equally vital form of generosity – those donors who have chosen to include Presbyterian SeniorCare Foundation in their will or estate plans. Legacy gifts take many forms, including bequests, charitable gift annuities, IRA and life insurance beneficiary designations, gifts of real estate, and donations of refundable entrance fees from independent living residents. Together, these planned gifts help secure the long-term financial future of the organization and the people it serves.
A Distinguished Setting and a Special Program
Oakmont Country Club provided the venue for the occasion. Guests were treated to a delicious lunch and a program featuring a fascinating presentation by Dave Moore, the club’s dedicated Golf Historian and Curator of Collections. Moore oversees the club’s extensive archives, provides historical insights for media in advance of major championships, and leads tours for members with a particular specialty in the legacy of Oakmont’s founder, Henry Fownes. A Golf Historian and Author, Moore also serves as Curator for Allegheny Country Club and works as an Independent Historical Consultant, bringing a wealth of knowledge and passion to his stewardship of the game’s history.
His presentation offered guests a captivating glimpse into the storied past of one of golf’s most celebrated venues, a fitting complement to an afternoon dedicated to honoring legacies of all kinds.
A Heartfelt Thank You
Presbyterian SeniorCare Foundation is deeply grateful to every member of the Cornerstone Society and Anderson Legacy Society for their vision, generosity, and commitment. Their support, whether through annual gifts or long-term estate planning, makes a profound difference in the lives of older adults across the region.
